If you would like me to come and photograph your equestrian event, please call or email me with as many details as possible and in as much advance notice as is reasonable. For club events, there is no attendance charge and the hope is that print sales will cover all costs I incur to attend the event. It is very important in this case that you advertise to the event attendees as much as possible about my attendance and how to order photographs from the event or contact me. Unless otherwise arranged, I also ask that I am the sole official photographer of the event.
After the event, the photographs will be displayed online in a dedicated album. Links to these albums will be available on my current events pages (see links above) and are broken down into classes or further into an album for each rider. Usually photographs will be available within 24-48 hours after the event, but please be patient as it can sometimes take quite some time to upload thousands of pictures. For more sensitive subjects, or for clubs or groups who would like to offer restricted access to their photographs, we can set up password protected albums.
Please note that providing a photographer and advertising the photographer previous to an event can boost attendance as people love to see photographs of their event long after it is over. I have also found that by allowing people to view and order pictures at home at their convenience helps to make their day and the event run smoothly.
Online albums will contain all photographs taken and none of these will be edited ahead of time. However, edits such as cropping, lightening or darkening images, or other quick fixes can easily be performed on any image. If event attendees wish to see an edited picture, do not hesitate to ask and we can repost that image and send an e-mail link to your edited pictures.
Event photos can be formal, informal, posed, or action shots. You can choose which you would prefer or leave it up to us. We can also do any combination of these. Should anyone object to having their photos posted online, we will gladly refrain from doing so and they can be sent proof sheets to use for ordering if they wish. There will be a small charge for this. We will provide fliers and a follow-up email to inform attendees of how to view their photographs.
The photographer retains all rights to all photos and they cannot be copied or without permission. We will release up to three photographs free of charge for use in media or publication. We can supply these on disk, via email, or directly send images to a newspaper or other media outlet. Photo credits must be given to: Single Leaf Photography.
We understand that with outside events, it may be necessary to reschedule or cancel an event. Please give us as much notice as possible should this occur. We will make every effort to attend and produce quality images. However, in the event of a breakdown, equipment failure or non attendance for any other reason, we will not be liable for any kind of compensation. Should we forsee any problems, you will be notified as soon as possible.
If you wish to book us for an event, please send us as much information as possible, including a map to the event or an event address as well as a schedule of the day’s activities in full.
