In order to make sure that you get the images you want of your horse or horses, it is important that you let me know before the photo session what your goals are. Points to consider can include: conformation, expression, athletic development & ability, temperament.
I can produce photos that emulate the conventional images of the discipline/breed you are targeting or I can produce more individualized creative shots that are more ‘cutting edge’ for a modern and non-traditional feel. I have experience in and am able to shoot most types of action including dressage, hunter under saddle, eventing, show jumping, free jumping, in hand, reining, and any of the rail type movement specific to the breed you own including gaited horses. Make sure that I understand what type of photographs you are needing and the mood and tone you wish to convey with your images.
When it comes to shooting stallions or breeding stock, we can include progeny to show clients what to expect from a breeding as well as taking pictures which showcase temperament by including poses with people or illustrating their willingness with pictures of your horse loading in a trailer or standing in stocks for an exam.
